Our Team
We have many people of all kinds of levels of skill and ability here at the Rehabilitation Society of Calgary. Our Team consists of our participant members, volunteers, staff, and board of directors.
members
Participant members are the heart of the team and involved in everything we do. They take up many tasks in day-to-day operations, establish the direction of programs and activities, and participate in many leadership roles.
volunteers
Volunteers bring a special skill set to help expand the opportunities for our members (art class, computer access, etc.) and assist with fundraising.
Staff
A small staff supports the participant members’ initiatives (cooking, gardening, general life skills, etc.) and provide individual support to members, families and/or caregivers.

The Board of Directors is the official governing body. A combination of community members and participant members makes sure the organization stays true to its mission and philosophy.

John Setterlund
Facility Manager
Our facility runs smoothly, our lunches are great, and his extensive experience is a great resource!
Terri Vallance
Project Development Manager
Terri works half-time, and works at helping us get new ideas off the ground; planning, finding partners, and resources. She brought her community social work perspective to us in the late 1990’s and has had many different roles here off and on.
Shelley Goodrow
Program & Member Services Manager
Shelley met us as a support worker, then a volunteer, and joined the staff in 2023. She brings enthusiasm, a great sense of fun, and creative solutions with her!
