How to join in our activities/programs.

Participants

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Rehab is not disability-specific and does not require diagnosis documentation

  • $50.00 annual registration/membership (additional small fee for some special events)

  • Mix, match and arrange your time here however it suits you.

  • If you need assistance with eating, toileting, or significant safety or behavior issues, we need you to come with a support person who can help you one-to-one.  Otherwise, you are very welcome to attend by yourself.  Staff can discuss any of these issues or questions with you.

Phone Shelley at 403-263-8341 for more information or to arrange a visit. Come in for a week or two and see if it suits you. Then we have a simple intake interview, you get your membership card, and then you are here.

Caregivers/Support Workers

Support workers are an important part of our community. You have goals with your client, and we look forward to helping you customize opportunities at Rehab that can support your client’s goals, needs, or interests. Feel free to chat with staff anytime about ideas or opportunities you see that might benefit your client.

Your schedule for coming to Rehab is completely flexible and can change and adapt around other client commitments. Caregivers – family members, supportive roommates, etc. are welcome to come and visit or attend special events.

donate

If you would like to become a donor, the Paypal button below will also accept Direct Deposit and Credit cards.  Alternatively, donations by check are welcome by mail or in person.

Why should I donate to the Rehab Society?

The Rehabilitation Society is a registered charity.  It is independent and self-funded.  We receive some specific grant dollars, but do not receive any ongoing funding from government or public sources.  Individual donor support is an important piece in continuing our ability to offer adults with disabilities a place to be that provides community benefits.

Your donation goes directly to program/activity delivery expenses.  It buys program supplies, and helps cover facility overheads such as utility costs.

Our unique Community Centre Model lets us do a lot with a small, direct service staff team of 2 – 3.

volunteer

The Rehabilitation Society is always looking for Volunteers.

Please note: we are not looking for volunteers specifically to do individual support work.  Instead, we are seeking individuals who would like to help facilitate group activities and projects.  Do you have a special skill or interest that you would like to share?  Arts, music, gardening, baking, computer skills as examples?   Do you have a trade skill or handyman talent you would be interested in donating from time to time in our building? Do you have an evening a month to join our (very fun) crew of volunteers at our fundraising bingos?  There are many ways to become involved in our community.  Come in and explore the possibilities!

contract work

The Rehabilitation Society does contract light assembly, packaging and labeling work for businesses in the community. 100% of the contract fee goes to the people at Rehab performing the work. Are you a small importer or distributor that has some assembly work that you can outsource?  Help your business and your community at the same time!  Please give us a call to discuss details and scope of work.
